This final part
was crazy intense. Things were hitting the fan left and right. I’m still trying to not include spoilers
for the people who have not yet read the book.
Things I learned
in this part:
Nepotism is a
double edged sword and you’d think that political marriages would give one
better options. Joffrey is for sure Cersei’s son. I feel horribly for Sansa. I
didn’t see that one coming at all. Oh Eddard, how sad; how I rooted for you.
Tyrion still has
mad game.
Not sure if
Ghost was doing the right thing or there was some betrayal like behavior. I
feel so bad for Jon.
Daenerys is now
officially a badass in my book. (Pardon the pun). I think that she has surpassed
her brother not only in her ability to rule but to show mercy…then kick ass and
take names later. She does have a weird concept of symbolism though but yay for
dragons.
We may have
inklings of peace or at the very least compromise but we’ll see how things go
down in the next book.

Daenerys most certainly was a badass and I was so happy to see what I had been waiting for from almost the very beginning of the book finally happen! Yay for dragons indeed!
ReplyDeleteHere is my full review with no spoilers!

I didn't know if she had it in her for most of the book. That was a wonderful surprise.
DeleteCrazy intense.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to summarize one of the most intense final quarters of any book I've ever read. I felt like I was watching my dreams scoured and flayed from multiple points of view.
Still, what a great book! And I have to say, this series as a whole is one of my favorite to introduce people to and read along (or, perhaps, commiserate) with.
Yes! I am so glad that I had others to read it with and get so many points of view on as I was reading. Other people picked up on so many things that I missed.
DeleteI will have to continue to read the series.
*claps hands with excitement* I'm so happy you liked it!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery much so! So far this year is me reading awesome series rather than reading an awesome book only to discover that it's a series.
