Coraline Read Along Sign-ups and Master Post

October I will be hosting a read along of Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Since it's a relatively short book, I'm dividing it in half and only doing two reaction posts. You can sign up in comments.

Reading Schedule

Monday, Oct. 1: Reading starts

Monday, Oct. 15: Reaction post covering chapters 1-7 (pgs 1-87 in the hardcover edition)

Monday, Oct 29: Reaction post covering chapters 8-13 (pgs 88-end in the hardcover edition)

I'm just going to leave this here...

Happy reading!

  1. LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!

Admittedly, one of the things that creeps me out is the buttons in Coraline or those horror movies where mouths are sewn shut. IT'S ALL SO CREEPY!

I may participate in this readathon, though I don't think I need to read the book. I've read it twice, listened to the audio, read the graphic novel, AND have seen the movie. I love Coraline. :)

    1. Yes, the buttons are so creepy. That's really the only part that scared me in the movie.
You're clearly well versed in Coraline. :)

  2. Ooh, I definitely want to join in on this! I meant to read Coraline this month and got the graphic novel version from the library by mistake. So now I've requested the actual book and am waiting for it to come in. I can't wait to read it as I know nothing about the book and haven't seen the film either. I did hear it was creepy but I'll just have to wait and see!

    1. Woohoo! :) I hope you like it. There is a cat character that I think is so badass.
